About Us
My Passion in leadership and the role it plays to inspire trust, create vision and execute strategy led my steps toward the coaching journey. As Executive and Leadership Coach, I work with leaders to enhance their leadership skills so that they make an empowering impact and become more effective in their calling.
I have come to realize that it is not so much the qualities of the leader that make a difference, but the effect the leader has on a company’s culture, and the engagement and determination this leadership inspires in all teams.
Leadership is the art of motivating a group of people to achieve common goals. It is about sharing a clear vision, set a steady direction and make all individuals and teams understand the important role they all play in moving the company forward.
Read MoreToday companies are diverse and people have different needs and expectations of their job and the company they work for. Several studies show that the levels of disengagement among employees in many countries are high and increasing. The loyalty that defined previous generations’ relationship to their employer has changed drastically.
Today, people need to find a sense of purpose in their job. They also need to feel that they are part of a community, that they have a clear role to play, are recognized for their contribution and that they can leave their own marks. People want to work for an organization that represents their own values. If they experience a mismatch, they are likely to disengage, lose motivation and often end up leaving.
I believe that a good leader can change this trend. Leadership is about seeing everyone’s potential and empowering your team to use their entire skillset, give them room to express their ideas and creativity, and work to the best of their ability. This is not only positive for the employee, but highly beneficial for the company as well. Good leadership is fundamental in creating a culture where employees feel empowered to do their very best, think out of the box and dare to speak up when there is a problem.
As an Executive and Leadership Coach, I believe that leaders cannot succeed without the support of their teams. They are a lot stronger and more prone to success when they have their teams’ support because they believe in leaders’ vision and feel part of it, than if they only follow instructions from their hierarchy. This is why empathy is as important as drive, the ability to listen as crucial as the skill to communicate our own convictions, and the power to learn from failures as essential as celebrating major victories. Authority is not leadership. Leadership is about empowering teams to succeed and creating velocity for growth by capturing the team’s collective IQ, EQ, and their individual capacity to drive outcomes.
I also think that a leader that is passionate about his or her vision and goals make a real difference. There is a saying that states that, “People with great passion can make the impossible happen”, and this is true also in a corporate setting. Inspirational leaders are passionate people who move beyond the reality of limited thinking. When you are working with someone who has a passion for what he or she does and believes in the goals he or she is trying to achieve, the feeling is extremely contagious. It makes people around them believe that they can achieve anything as well, and the more people that are engaged in their job and enthusiastic about what they are working to accomplish, the stronger and healthier the organization will be.
As they say: If you’re working on something exciting that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you.

Group Coaching
How is Group Coaching will be beneficial for your Leadership Development?
Coaching provides many options to grow and groom the next cohort of leaders. And organizations across the public and private sector, small business and start-ups are all adding group coaching to their leadership development programming: they see group coaching as a great way to enhance and accelerate leadership development.
Read MoreOur Coaching's focus on goals and accountability helps create a leadership culture that supports ongoing learning, increased awareness and identifying actions for emerging, new and seasoned leaders. And group coaching can be a supplement to and/or an integral part of the leadership development process.
What is group coaching?
Well group coaching conversations typically bring together small groups of peers in ongoing coaching conversations. Whether virtual or in person, group coaching is usually an intimate conversation space with most groups ranging from 4-8 people, although in person coaching groups can be as large as 15 (the maximum size the ICF considers to be group coaching).
Group Coaching for Leaders provides a number of core benefits including:
- Development and enhanced self-awareness for both new and seasoned leaders.
- Providing a focus on people's leadership goals and development opportunities.
- Development of new relationships and networks with other leaders in the organization.
The application and integration of new leadership skills and concepts, enabling a "living leadership lab".
Three Specific Group Coaching Approaches for Leadership Development
There are a range of methods or approaches to coach leaders in organizations. One size certainly "doesn't fit all" when it comes to groups. And it's a fallacy to think that only one approach or model which will meet the diverse realities of groups and wide range of industries today.
Our three coaching methods or approaches that we use include:
1) Laser Coaching in Groups
One at a time, a leader experiences short laser-like one-on-one coaching with the coach, in front of other group members.
This conversation may only last 7 -15 minutes. The focus of this coaching is dependent on the leader and may involve a current business challenge or opportunity. If laser coaching is used, each group member will have the opportunity to be coached.
2) A Weekly Theme or Focus Shaped by the Client/Organizational Priorities
This is one of the more popular approaches, and I mention some theme ideas to focus on below.
The thematic approach offers us the opportunity to bring in different questions and coaching processes into the group space. For example, doing some work around values as a leader might involve a value's checklist or leaders sharing their own peak experiences with each other. There are lots of activities and options here.
3) Collaborative Activities
The focus in group coaching doesn't always have to be on the individual leader. Groups shape their own cultures, and for some groups the collaborative learning process, steeped in peer sharing may be the central focus.
Recurrent Topics in Leadership Group Coaching
Part of the dynamic of group coaching is the co-created focus between the group and the coach. In addition to leaders' individual learning plans and goals, the leadership group or organization may be interested in exploring a wide range of themes during the group coaching conversations. Some popular areas to focus on include:
- 1) Vision
- 2) Leadership Styles
- 3) Values
- 4) Strengths
- 5) Leadership Competencies
- 6) Difficult conversations
- 7) Presence
- 8) Growth edges
- 9) Confidence
- 10) Building your network
Wrap-up
I'll leave you with this question: What next steps will you undertake in considering how group coaching can support, and accelerate, the capacity development of the leaders and organization you work with?
